Many people think of advertising as an expenditure. Advertising done right is an investment not an expenditure and should have no budget as it should pay for itself over and over again.
When I first began my cleaning business, I had very little money, had just moved to the area so knew no-one so had no basis to start from. I decided to invest just £ 10 in advertsing. That one advert brought in 8 new customers paying me £14 per hour, so after the very first client of just about 40 minutes the advert paid for itself. The one advert generated over £11,000 per year. Not a bad return on my investment. Every day you are not advertising your business or your product you are losing potential profit. Whenever I need to increase my profits I just ramp up my advertising. Make sure your advertising is always profitable, even free ads do cost you in time and energy. Market to the right people, find yourself a niche marketeer for your type of business. Where would someone look that was interested in your product or service, advertise there.
